Press Ukraine claims on the Crimean wines: officials of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food announced their intention to return such brands as “Massandra”, “Novyi Svit”, and “Magarach”

"Crimean plants are unique and have a demand on world markets"

Ukraine claims on the Crimean wines: the officials of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food declared about intentions to return the brands "Massandra", "Novyi Svit" and "Magarach". The authorities of Ukraine now can not afford to maintain the state-owned enterprises. Most likely, the words of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine are a purely political statement.

Crimean enterprises have not received any formal complaints from Kiev, said the director of the sparkling wines plant " Novyi Svit " Yanina Pavlenko.

Brends "Massandra", "Novyi Svit" and "Magarach"  were originally Crimean for more than one century.

As for the " Novyi Svit ", this brand  was founded 136 years ago by a great Russian winemaker Lev Sergeyevich Galitsin. “About what kind of primordial national brands we are talking about? We had no communication, no contacts, no complaints from the former Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine ", – says Pavlenko.

Previously, owners of the Crimean wine brands "Massandra", " Novyi Svit " and "Magarach" were state-owned enterprises in Ukraine. However, after the annexation of Crimea to Russia factories were nationalized by the authorities of the republic. Enterprises have received certificates for trademarks in Russia, noticed the general director of the legal bureau TM Defence Roman Zakharov.

"It’s possible that in the territory of Ukraine will be taken some steps to make these signs again belonged to state-owned enterprises of the country. Ukrainian authorities may prohibit their former companies, for example, to supply these products to Ukraine. But in Russia, these companies will be able to continue to work and Russian consumers to supply these wines, "- says Zakharov.

Nowadays relationships with Russia are not economical, all relations lie in the field of political aims and methods.

“Today Ukraine is in a very bad state, finances are ruined, investments leave the country. Crimean plants are unique and have their own history of brand, a buyer and a demand on the world markets ", – said the president of the Kiev Center of market reforms Vladimir Lanovoi.

Earlier in the Crimea was a criminal investigation into the abuses and misconduct at the enterprise "Massandra". According to the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov, the damage may exceed 4 billion rubles.
